Our client, Nurture Africa is an Irish founded NGO operating locally, with offices in Nansana. Their vision is to empower African families to be more self-reliant.

We are looking for competent individuals to fill the following vacant positions in their Health Centre, Vocational Centre, Restaurant and Hair Salon as follows;

1. Health Services Manager

The Health Services Manager (HSM) is responsible all the operations of the health centre. He/ She will take care of the medical, administrative, donor relations and people management requirements. The suitable candidate has worked under similar circumstances for at least 5 years and is a qualified Medical Doctor, preferably with Masters Degree in Public Health.

2. Head of Vocational Centre

The Head of the Centre will drive activities and ensure timely accomplishment of syllabuses. The Vocational Centre equips youth with practical skills helpful to them in building their own sustainability. The suitable candidate is a registered Teacher with formal training in managing vocational schools. He/she is also excellent at management and a natural leader.

3. Business Unit Manager (café & salon)

The Business Unit Manager is responsible for everything in the café & salon. He/she will deliver a high-quality menu and salon services and motivate our staff & interns to provide excellent customer service. He/she will drive revenue, profitability and quality goals and ensure efficient restaurant & salon operation.  The suitable candidate has three years’ experience managing in a similar role, experience in mentoring interns; and a qualification in a relevant field.

4. Catering Tutor and Chef

The Catering Tutor and Chef will plan, organize and develop the food and beverage services of the restaurant while meeting customer expectations, food and hygiene standards, and financial targets. He/she will also mentor students, teach at the vocational school, making lesson plans and taking students through practical culinary classes. The suitable candidate is a professional registered Chef with 3 years’ experience in the same.

5. Professional Hairdresser

The Professional Hairdresser will provide a range of haircare services and advise clients on their haircare needs. He/she will also mentor students, teach at the vocational school, making lesson plans and evaluating students. The suitable candidate is first and foremost naturally gifted in this area. He/she is also a professionally trained from an accredited school.
