Job Title: LOGISTICS ASSISTANT (1 POST)

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Reporting to: Head of Operations

PURPOSE

The Logistics Assistant is responsible for the provision of car-driver services to SteadFin Uganda SACCO authorized passengers and/or items and to support operations and investment function(s) in the day-to-day running of the SACCO business.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Adhering to the SACCO vehicle and transport polices and procedures
2. Driving and ensuring safety of the vehicle and of all authorized passengers and/or items.
3. Ensuring well maintained and clean official cars
4. Checking the mechanical condition of the car on a daily basis.
5. Checking and confirming the validity of Vehicle(s) license and Insurance.
6. Performing preventative and regular maintenance of the car.
7. Completing the mileage and maintenance log sheets and submit for review.
8. Ensuring timely refueling of the cars when required.
9. Supporting the administrative function at SACCO office when not in the field.
10. Delivering official correspondence, mail, items and documents to different stake holders.
11. Attending to SACCO investment projects through regular visits and taking potential buyers for site visits.
12. Perform any other business as may be requested by your supervisor from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. A certificate of an Ordinary Uganda Education Level Certificate
2. A clean Driving Permit Class D1
3. A certificate in Defensive driving is an added advantage.
4. Continuous five (5) years' driving experience in a formal employment.
5. Certificate or qualification in motor vehicle maintenance will be an added advantage.
6. Age bracket: 20 - 45 years
