OVERALL DESCRIPTION


Street Business School, a nonprofit organization with an office in Kampala, Uganda is looking for reliable and trustworthy Volunteer Training Assistants with a passion for social transformation and who are willing to offer their time, labor and expertise on part time basis for the development of specified communities. Street Business School
(SBS) creates opportunities for people living in poverty to become self-sustaining entrepreneurs, igniting within themselves the power to transform their lives and lift out of poverty through business creation. Street Business school will train 1 million women by 2027 helping them transform their lives, lifting nearly 6 million people out poverty worldwide.


The Volunteer Training Assistant will conduct recruitment of members, training, and coaching and data entry within their specified community. The appropriate candidate will work closely with the Project Coordinator - Mbale and the ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills an ability to work long hours in the field. We are looking for someone who can work remotely with minimum supervision, hardworking, creative and flexible.


Primary Duties:
 Select of members who will best meet SBS goals.
 Deliver virtual and face-to face business training to SBS members.
 Conduct virtual and face-to face business coaching.
 Collect and accurately record data.
 Prepare and submit periodic reports to the Project Coordinator.


Qualification:
 Minimum qualification of UCE
 Relevant certification field from a recognized Tertiary Institution will be of added advantage.


Experience: Minimum one year social work experience with a CBO.


Personal Attributes/Additional skills
 Strong organizational and communication Skills
 Fluency and writing skills in English.
 Good understanding of local culture, fluent in Lumasaaba or any other local language.
 Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer programs such as Excel.
 Experience working in women’s groups, CBOs or M&E will be highly considered.
 Honest individual with a commitment to transparent reporting to SBS.


Support and benefit: The volunteer shall have the opportunity to be trained by SBS experienced Coaches and also receive basic allowances as shall be deemed appropriate from time to time.
