We provide entrepreneurial training programs for women living in deep poverty through our Street Business School, to reach 1 million women by 2027.

Street Business School is looking for a creative and organized Communications Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to share storytelling via multimedia channels in its most raw form, while working for an organization that is expanding globally. What better job than to share inspiring stories of women who are changing their lives? · Write and edit stories that uphold the ethics and voice of the organization, with a natural story arc

Capture compelling visual assets through photography and videography

· Become a contributor to SBS social media posts, posting live from the field to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social channels

· Upload creative assets to organized department folders in ASANA or Dropbox

· Manage the communications team’s workflow by creating and maintaining the Uganda communications calendar and synching with the US Communications calendar

· Work within ASANA (our project management system) to meet Communications calendar deadlines

· Participate in regular meetings with Uganda and US Communications teams

· Coordinate and work with other local professional talents, i.e. photographers or videographers, who are documenting Street Business School’s work and who can enhance Street Business School’s brand

· Source content from other parts of Africa and the world

· Serve as an organizational representative at key events to help increase visibility for Street Business School

· Engage in programmatic activities to gain knowledge of the work and identify communication opportunities

· Provide a wide array of general communications and marketing support, based on organizational needs

Qualities we are seeking:

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Previous experience (3 years) in a marketing/communications role

· Proven fluency in English and Ugandan languages and a good understanding of the local culture

· Ability to manage a variety of creative tasks through excellent organizational skills

· Keen visual eye to capture inspiring moments
