Job Description
Kampala Hospital is a privately owned hospital that was established in 2007. Our mandate is to bring non-existent services to the country which are sought by many people who frequently move abroad to seek quality medical care.

Reports to: Finance Manager
In this position, you are required to Support the Finance Manager to ensure the integrity of financial systems and information, whilst ensuring compliance with all regulatory, statutory and internal control procedure requirements. Provide budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis support, and also assist with the preparation of key deliverables including the annual budgeting, operating and capital expenditure, the long term financial strategy, monthly reports, quarterly reports, annual reports and performance monitoring.
Daily and monthly detailed revenue reporting.
Ensuring that the prices for drugs and consumables are accurately recorded in the system.
Ensuring inventory is safeguarded by weekly monitoring and recording of the movement in liaison with the user departments, coordinating the stock take exercise at the end of the month and ensuring accountability through reconciliation, review and recommending improvements to strengthen the controls in place.
Receipting cheques, issuing receipts and other cash deposits.
Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for the hospital in liaison with the operational managers.
Expense management – ensure spending is in line with budgets.
Recommending ways of cutting costs.
Assist with the month end and year end closing.
Liaising with internal and external auditors and attending to audit queries.
Ensuring that credit sales are properly captured to their respective receivable’s Ledgers.
Other tasks/projects as assigned by the Finance Manager from time to time.
