Kampala Hospital is a privately owned hospital that was established in 2007. Our mandate was and is to bring non-existent
services to the countries that were often sought by many people who frequently moved abroad to seek quality medical care.

In this position, you are required to collect, organize, store and retrieve records used in diagnosis and treatment. You will also
promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology within the hospital to support and
improve health and the delivery of patient care.
You will ensure that records are filled in line with organization’s procedures.
Collecting files promptly from the billing office after the patient is discharged.
Organising and filling all inpatient records in alphabetical order in the records cabinets.
Ensure that all patient records are entered in the department database as and when required.
Ensure control of records within the organisation (in and out) and making sure that the records can easily be accessed
using the file retrieval procedure.
Monitor file retrievals (make sure all the documents retrieved are returned back and are properly filed back)
Participate in issuing old and new documents to both internal and external clients while following records access
You will ensure records storage; considering archiving in line with the records statutory regulations.
Compiling KCCA statistics; for both inpatient and outpatient sections using HMIS and any other tools provided.
Compilation of Bed Occupancy data.
Compile KHL Statistics reports on weekly and monthly basis
- Lab statistics by mode of Payment (Patient visits and Tests)
- Out Patient Visits by mode of Payment (GP and Specialist figures)
- Data entry of client satisfaction surveys data.
