Job Description

Our Client an insurance brokering company in Uganda dealing in general insurance, life, pension and medical schemes is looking for an assistant Business Development Manager.

The Assistant Business Development Manager – Life shall plan, manage, coordinate, direct, supervise, monitor and evaluate all departmental activities and ensure efficient and effective acquisition of life, pension and bancassurance business to the organisation. The Assistant Business Development Manager – Life ensures efficient and effective operations of the department.

STRATEGY

Assist to prepare annual work plans, budgets and forecast for departmental activities and monitor performance.

OPERATIONS.

Assist to develop and implement the growth and retention strategy of Company brand.

Assist to establish strategic Business Partnerships and manage business relationships to retain clientele and partners.

Engage in actual marketing of life products/brands of the Company through cross selling to existing clients and venturing into new markets sectors.

Assist in development, implementation and monitoring a networking strategy.

Revenue growth and market share.

Assist in developing product development strategies and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for Company products.

Participate in developing product positioning plans and messaging for Company products in the market.

Required Experiences, Skills and Abilities :

·   5 years progressive experience in Insurance Industry in both general and/or Life at senior level is a requirement.

·   5 years Sales & Marketing skills within the service industry.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·   A degree in marketing field.

·   A certificate in insurance.

·   A diploma in insurance / post graduate in a commercial related field like Business Administration and Management, Sales and Marketing is an added advantage.
