In this position, you will play an integral role managing the facility operations and maintenance team. You will be required to lead the non-clinical Operations departments (house-keeping, security, catering, maintenance & Repair and laundry; appointing and managing external contractors were necessary and appropriate) to deliver a high-quality and value for money services:
Oversee and coordinate daily running of all hospital non- clinical activities.
Oversee and coordinate sub-contractors to assure proper installation of equipment and delivery of maintenance services.
Be accountable for service quality standards and adherence to budgetary restrictions of: Security, House Keeping, Laundry, Maintenance and Repair, Kitchen
Ensure adherence to protocols and processes in reporting departments and drive compliance to audit points
Manage preventative and emergency maintenance schedules and procedures for building systems
Provide ongoing technical support, management and oversight of vendors as necessary.
Safety inspections and adherence to Ascent safety policies.
Complete inspections and maintenance. Scheduled maintenance may include; but is not limited to; monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annual equipment maintenance.
Life Cycle Replacement Strategy
Development of: Method of Procedure (MOP), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and Emergency Recovery Procedure (ERP)
Administrator for onsite Critical Facility Work Rules
Act as custodian of all Government and Statutory compliances for non-clinical services
Participate in the recruitment, training, performance management and motivating of manpower for all non-clinical departments and get maximum output with respect to time and service standards
Plan and control overall budget compliances: Prepare requisite reports for each Department in hospital (that come under your direct purview) and communicate it to Management
Planning all security protocol and monitoring system, material management, emergency systems, etc
Spearhead meetings for departments under your supervision, ensuring that minutes are taken and action points followed through for continuous improvement and accountability.
Determine necessary space, equipment, supplies and support systems to ensure effective functioning of unit/department.
Long-term objectives and strategic planning
Provide on-site management/leadership of crisis situations to prevent or minimise disruption of services
Act as the hospital contact for external clients, deal with queries and facilitate tours of the hospital facilities and services available.
Perform any other duties as may be reasonably required and/or communicated
